First, you need to decide which kind of service you wish to book:

 

Inclusive Package

If you want to be sure your adventure is fully organised for you, Adventure Peaks have an outstanding track record in delivering  mountaineering expeditions and courses. 

This option is available for:

Guiding Service only 

 If you prefer to make your own travel and accommodation arrangements, you can book Guiding Only service directly with AlpineRob

This option is available for:

  • Alps Climbing
  • Alpine Skills
  • Scotland Winter Climbing
  • UK Rock Climbing

Daily Guiding rate is £275 for a minimum of 2 days. This will cover all of Rob's expenses, but you will need to budget for your transport, food and accommodation.

   

Steps to book Guiding Service:

  1. Decide your preferred activity or specific goal
  2. Check Rob's availability on his Calendar
  3. Read very carefully AlpineRob's  Terms and Conditions
  4. Use the Enquiry Form to make a booking enquiry, stating the number in your group, your chosen activity and possible dates
  5. Rob will call you to discuss your plans in detail and then propose a suitable itinerary based on your skills, experience and ambitions.
  6. Confirm the booking by completing the Booking Form and sending deposit
  7. Get appropriate insurance cover
  8. Make sure you have everything you need by checking the kit list
  9. Pay the balance of your guiding fees at least 6 weeks before your start date
  10. Get working on your fitness ready for your Alpine Adventure

Full details of the clothing, equipment and other essentials you are recommended to bring is avaliable on Kit List

 

Insurance Cover

It is vitally important that you have adequate travel insurance for your activities, covering:  
  • Cancellation or curtailment
  • Search and rescue
  • Helicopter rescue
  • Repatriation
  • Altitude above 2000m and up to and including required altitude for your expedition/climb/trek
  • Grade of trek/climb/expedition

You may wish to consider:

BMC (for members only) - the Alpine and Ski Policy is suitable for the Alps and Scottish Winter Climbing

Snowcard cover Alpine Climbing

Austrian Alpine Club - membership includes rescue insurance  for all typical members' activities. You will still need a standard insurance policy to cover cancellation etc
