Dix Hut - wednesday 20th July

Well folks, they were all here this week, Gene Kelly, Marti and his Pellow, the dude with the beard, and the big wooden boat full of animals, and even the Quo, who are incidentally playing the greatest biker fest ever in August, Bulldog Bash 25th Anniversary.

So onwards

September 12th - last Chamonix Blog of the season

Well folks here it is, the final Cham blog of the season. Doesn’t time fly when you’re up to no good??

It’s been a real mixed week, something for everyone, mainly ducks!!!!! So as you can guess the weather hasn’t  really been playing ball, there where quite a few frustrated guides up at the Albert Prem hut on Sunday night ,most had moved on to plan Z at that point, or just sat there rocking backwards and forwards with their head in their hands……

Cham Thursday 22nd July - via ferrata and Alpine update

Greetings and salutations.

   This week I have mostly been doing other things………


Via ferrata Le Mont

So Sunday we went round to Samoens, well Sixt Fer A Cheval, about 2 hrs drive from Cham, to do Via Ferrata Le Mont. I’ve done it before a while ago, but just needed to get a new view of it. It’s 800 metres long, can take up to 3 to 4 hrs to do, especially if you get caught up behind folks. It takes about 20 mins to walk up to it, has a small café at the bottom and,  close by ...
