Everest Update

Rob texted today from Everest Base Camp. Having travelled and trekked through Tibet they are now at around 5100m and enjoying the comforts of their well-appointed camp, complete with fantastic views of Everest.

All 26 are doing well and are having a well-deserved rest day tomorrow. On Tuesday they will start several days of acclimatisation walks to around 6000m, before heading up to Advanced Base Camp next week. Rob's team will stay with the main Everest party during their acclimatisation.

Everest North Col and Lhakpa Ri

Saturday (3rd April) sees me back on the plane again - this time heading for Kathmandu. It's a hard life!

Having stepped down from leading the Everest Summit Expedition, I will be leading a group on what should be a fantastic trip up to the North Col 7032m and then we bag the Tibetan peak Lhakpa Ri 7045m which gives the most amazing views across to Everest. We even get a couple of days in Lhasa at the end of the trip.

We'll be flying out with the main Everest team, travelling overland from Kath...
